Diary of an MEP10.35.00am GMT Fri 22nd Jan 2010 Monday - This week was a plenary week at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. On the first day Catherine Bearder MEP attended ALDE Group meetings and a meeting of the Liberal Democrat European Parliamentary Party. Location: European Parliament, Strasbourg. Tuesday - On the second day of plenary Catherine attended an ALDE group meeting, a reception at the Committee of the Regions, and a meeting on the second revision of the EU-ACP Partnership Agreement (the Cotonou Agreement). Location: European Parliament, Strasbourg, Wednesday - On the third day of plenary Catherine's agenda included a meeting on the future of cohesion policy, the election of the new EU Obudsman and a vote on an anti-trafficking motion. Location: European Parliament, Strasbourg. Thursday - On Thursday Catherine asked an oral question on the EU's approach to trafficking within Europe. Location: European Parliament, Strasbourg. Friday - (am) Catherine will be meeting with Paul Montgomery from the Institute of Advanced Motorists, and completing an IAM driving assessment. Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire (pm) Catherine will be meeting with Sgt Chris Appleby from Thames Valley Police and joining him on a police operation targeting heavy goods vehicles. ************************************************************************************
