WHY I WANT TO BE CRAWLEY'S MP: Because I can do a better job than the last lot, because I want to use my experience and because Crawley needs a new voice. In the past the pendulum has swung in Crawley but nothing much has changed. Going back to the Tories would be like going back in time. Crawley is a new town that should have a new opportunity. I am different so you will not just get the same old politics. I have strong conviction, values and a belief in fairness. Most of all I have a desire for change and a belief that together we can bring it about. I'm not a career politician. I had six years as a Councillor. I've had real jobs that have given me a real understanding of life, how to get things done and other people's lives. I believe that the most important to have the drive and ambition to make a difference. There is too little hope in some of our communities. We've got to fight to change that around. Nationally it becomes evident that our opponents are clearly getting rattled to have to resort to some desperate tactics. Liberal Democrats have detailed plans to make our economy environmentally, financially and socially sustainable. I believe in fair taxes that put money back into your pocket, a fair chance for every child, a fair future, creating jobs by making Britain greener and a fair deal by cleaning up politics.
